2. Information We Collect

We collect the following information when you use CitedAI:

Email address — provided by you at checkout, used to associate your order and communicate with you about your delivery.
Website URL — the URL you submit for AEO file generation. We crawl this URL to gather publicly available business information.
Payment information — processed entirely by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number, CVV, or full payment details. We receive only a confirmation of payment and a Stripe customer/session ID.
Order details — package tier selected, order amount, currency, and order status, stored in our database to fulfill your order.
Usage data — standard web analytics such as page views, referral sources, and browser type, collected via our analytics provider. No personally identifiable information is included.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

Generate your AEO files by crawling the website URL you provide.
Deliver your completed files to a secure Google Drive folder and notify you of delivery.
Process and confirm your payment through Stripe.
Respond to support requests or questions you send to us.
Improve the CitedAI service based on aggregate usage patterns.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Website Crawling

When you submit a website URL, our system automatically visits that URL and publicly accessible pages to collect business information (such as your business name, description, services, and contact details). This information is used solely to generate your AEO files. We only access publicly available pages — we do not attempt to access password-protected, private, or restricted content.

5. Third-Party Services

CitedAI uses the following third-party services to operate:

Stripe — payment processing. Your payment data is governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy.
Google Drive — file delivery. Your generated files are stored in a Google Drive folder managed by Lucé Media. Google's use of data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
OpenAI / AI providers — used to generate the content of your AEO files. Crawled website data is sent to AI APIs to produce file content. We do not send your email address or payment information to AI providers.

6. Data Retention

We retain your order information (email, website URL, package tier, order status) for as long as necessary to fulfill your order and handle any support requests. Generated files are stored in Google Drive and accessible to you via the link provided at delivery. You may request deletion of your data at any time by emailing [email protected].

7. Cookies and Analytics

CitedAI uses minimal, privacy-respecting analytics to understand how visitors use the site. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking. Standard session cookies may be used to maintain your browsing session.
